Feature Requests and Issues / Re: Export Map Data is exporting all data
« on: November 05, 2016, 02:15:00 PM »
I'm using the same Chrome version on a Windows 10 laptop.

I'm seeing a new issue that I did not noticed before. I turn off all map elements except for one polygon. There are a few markers that are check and I first check the box to show all the elements and then uncheck it to turn off all elements. I put the mouse over the polygon and the vertices will appear. The two elements in Locations that was previously uncheck would now show up as checked and the markers are displayed.

When I try to export just the polygon that's displayed, I get all the polygons and most of the markers. The GPX file generates an error in Basecamp but not in Terrain Navigator Pro.

Feature Requests and Issues / Export Map Data is exporting all data
« on: November 03, 2016, 11:18:47 PM »
The help file states that:

Export Areas - Select this button to download all of the currently visible map elements to a GPX, KML, or TXT file. Only elements with their visibility set on [v/]  will be exported.

However, I can only find "Export Map Data" and not "Export Areas". When I use "Export Map Data", the GPX file will contain all the map data and not just the one with their visibility set. Is there a way to export just the visible data?

Feature Requests and Issues / Re: Methods of entering USNG coordinates
« on: March 07, 2015, 11:45:09 AM »
I agree with your last suggestion. Let the coordinate entry default to the attributes of the coordinate system selected at the bottom of the map page. So for USNG users, they can take advantage of truncation and simply enter the grid coordinate without having to enter the GZD and 100 km ID. The 100km id and GZD can be added for situations where the mission operate across these boundaries.

This applies to both the Find field and the coordinate entry in the radio log.

Feature Requests and Issues / 100 meter grid coordinates
« on: March 05, 2015, 07:26:51 PM »
When entering a USNG grid coordinate to 100 meters, MM will append two zeros to both the easting and northing. This will put the location at the southwest corner of the 100mx100m square. My recommendation is to append "50" to the end of both the easting and northing so as to put the location closer to the center of the 100 meter square.

MM currently only accepts a USNG coordinate if the full format is used. It will not accept a USNG coordinate without the GZD and 100km ID. MM should default to the GZD and 100km ID of the CP when only the grid coordinate is entered. If operating across a 100km square boundary, then the 100km square ID will precede the grid coordinate. If operating across a UTM zone, then the full format will be required. This should shorten keyboard entry time.

A polygon created in MM appears as a closed shape in MM. However, when exported as a GPX track, it becomes an open polygon with one side missing. When MM exports the polygon as a GPX track, it should add a track point at the end so the start and end track points are at the same location. This would result in a closed polygon when exported as a track.

Attached is an example GPX created from a polygon.

Feature Requests and Issues / Re: Importing Shapefiles
« on: January 28, 2015, 07:23:05 PM »
Per the help document, custom layers can only handle Open Layer XYZ map, text POI or KML layers. The data I have is in multiple ESRI shapefiles on my hard drive.

Feature Requests and Issues / Importing Shapefiles
« on: January 27, 2015, 07:22:25 PM »
I have shapefiles of wilderness trails in the county. I like to be able to bring it into MM as a separate single layer for each shapefile. From this layer, I want to be able to select a trail and turn that layer object into a track and use that track as a search assignment. Since the trails shapefile is a layer, I can turn that layer off to decluter the map.

Can this be done?

Feature Requests and Issues / GPX import issue
« on: January 27, 2015, 07:11:20 PM »
Using the Import Map Data feature, I import two tracks in a single GPX file. I get a dialog box that tells me the file that was uploaded, the number of tracks and the number of points. There is an OK button in the lower right. When I click this OK button, I get a Fire Fox dialog box that now tells me the page need to be resent. When I select resend, I get the same dialog box with the file uploaded and track and points information. But now I have two of each tracks I uploaded. The only way to get out of this is to click the "X" at the upper right of the dialog box.

Anyone have any idea what is happening?

Thanks.
