Feature Requests and Issues / Calendar Reminders

I am finding it frustrating that when you update a calendar event the event reminders delete themselves out if you have fallen inside of the set window (i.e. 1 month, 2 weeks...).  We often need to change the location of events, or add information to the description and when we go to update the event it removes the reminders to be sent out to members.  I don't feel like we should have to go back a reset the starting time just because we updated the event.

Anyway we could get a fix for this?

Feature Requests and Issues / Member Information Missing/No Show

I was going in to edit some of our members information this morning, and some of our members information does not show up on the screen.  Certain members, all of their information is there when you click on their name on the side bar, others all their information is blank.

I did a "Export Members" and all their information shows up in CSV file, but not on the screen.

Any ideas on what may be going on?

I have screenshots that I can show, but I would prefer to do that via email so not to expose any member data to the world.

Feature Requests and Issues / Time Keeping Reports

I'm sure this will probably get thrown to the Wish List but a few ideas.

We are now being asked to report back our hours to the state for every Quarter.  Not a big deal, I have it on my calendar to pull an agency report at the end of each quarter.  But as I was looking through all of our members stuff I realized that there is not any way to send a member a copy of their own Time Keeping Report.  It would be nice to send a copy of their report to them to proof and finalize before I submit hours, but not have to go through and print them to PDF individually, then send out individual emails.  Would this be something that could be added onto the end of the Member's Status report?

I'm trying to import some GPS data into a map and I can not get anything to import in.

When I try I get a window with "Sorry this is an unknown file type, nothing to import."
I have tried it in three formats: KML, GPX, Text
I am exporting the data from my InstaMapper account.

Any ideas?

General Mission Manager Discussion / InstaMapper back up and running?

I have been working with a new team in getting set up on Mission Manager and they had been looking at some videos I made for our team on Mission Manager.  He asked about Instamapper, which as most of us know shut down about a year ago.  Just on a whim, I when to look for Instamapper to see if any of the old info was out there, and low and behold it appears Instamapper is back up and running.  Anyone else know anything about it?

Mike, if this is true to be running, can we put it back into Mission Manager?

Or does someone have something better to use?

Feature Requests and Issues / Member Change

I have searched, and did not find anything on this so I'm going to ask.

Is there anyway that Mission Manager can notify an Administrator when a member has made a change to their Member information?  I know that this already shows up in the Member Changed History, but I don't get a notification when that happens.

Reason being is that we had a call out this past week.  Now grated that we were only on site long enough to get turned around and sent home (Sheriff found the individual walking an alley 3 blocks from home).  One of our members did not get called when the activation notice went out.  We use the CodeRed system though our Emergency Management Agency to notify our members.  The reason they didn't get called was because we had old phone numbers in CodeRed.  They had made the changes in MM as we have asked them to do, but didn't report the changes to us to update our other system.

It would be nice to get just a message that says that "Harvey J. Schmerdlappp has made a change to their information."  Or like how Google Docs does it where you can set it to notify you that changes have been made once a day.  That way if 20 people make changes, you would not be getting 20 emails about changes.  Then you could go to the Reports and see what has been changed by the member and make updates if needed.

Thanks for all that you do for making this program a great asset to have and to use.

I need to make a chart, similar to the Whole Team Organizational Chart that displays phone numbers for our team members.  I also need it to be able to print out on an 8.5x11 sheet.  Currently, if I try to print out our Whole Team Organizational Chart it wants to come out on multiple sheets.

I have been creating these calling trees for our team for a while now using Excel, but I'm tried of having to due updates for them all the time when I have team members who change phone numbers like most of us change socks.  Any suggestions on how to create this?

I can send you an example of what I have been doing in the past.

General Mission Manager Discussion / Need Ideas

We are often called to assist with traffic control at major incidents and functions, as well as perimeter containment for law enforcement activities.  When we first started with MM, you just typed in the mission type and away we went.  Now with the drop down version for mission type, I'm having to set up the positions and teams.  Positions are easy as we usually only have an IC, Event Logger/Scribe and Command Staff Help.  But the teams is where I'm having trouble.  We don't always have our ATV and Mountain Goat trailer out for these, but it does get requested from time to time for the 5k and Marathon through the hills each year. We are also working the Aid stations, so I have those two in.  What other team types could you see having?

We got the call this week for assistance with the Marathon again this year, so I'm trying to have everything in place on MM before the 28th.

Any way to duplicate or copy a mission or data from a mission for a new mission.

We have been requested to provide assistance for an event again.  All of the aid stations will be in the same locations.  I am just trying to save some time in the map and locations set up.

General Mission Manager Discussion / Equipment Tracking

I'm curious how other team are using the Equipment section.

We currently have 16+ radios (couple with dead batteries for replacement).  Each one is individually numbered and assigned to a specific member.  How would you suggest putting them into the Equipment section?

I currently have a Kenwood TK-372g listed in the inventory and assigned to several members, but that doesn't tell me who has Radio #6, 12, and 5 check out to them.

Is there an issue with the links?  We have two links set to link to two different, ever changing Google Doc sheets.  The links give me a "Sorry, the file you have requested does not exist." page.  These were working for us in the past.  Any ideas?  I have checked the address and they work outside of Mission Manager with permissions set to "Anyone with the Link".

Is there anyway to put in something to tell us who made changes in a mission, or who originated a mission?  Kind of like the Member Change History.  Or does this already happen in the event log and I'm missing something.

My reason is that we had a mission call out this weekend, but were not able to use MM because of the location and time frame.  By the time we were up and running, the individual was found.  But I would like to be able to track who entered what information after the fact so we can track it back them in case there are questions later or we have multiple event loggers going.  I'm sure this would be no easy feat, but I would welcome it, anyone else?

Feature Requests and Issues / Couple of Requests for the List

First we have a request to be able to access the Links tab during a mission.

We have documents that we use, but don't want to take up the space on MM when we already have them stored in our Google Docs, so we have linked them in to MM through the links tab.  But inside a mission, we can't access them unless we leave the mission, open the link, then go back to the mission.

The other request is to be able to create a Organizational Chart within a Mission so that you could see the chain of command of people on scene and be able to print that out and display it within the Command Center.  (This one comes from an Emergency Manager who I was doing a MM demo for this morning.)
