Feature Requests and Issues / Offline use with multiple laptops

Maybe this is addressed somewhere already - if so can someone direct me to the posts?

My question is for an offline mission scenario (no mobile network available).  I know we can create an off-line mission and have multiple laptops 'sync' with that mission before we leave a coverage area (so say we get a page - we can all connect to the internet, get that 'web mission' and then turn off the laptop and walk out knowing we have our latest member lists, etc.).

My question is - once we get to our scene, I can see one laptop being used at check-in, but another at planning and maybe another at logging/comms.

Without these 2-3 laptops being able to hit the web, updates aren't being made across the laptops.

Is there something out there that can:
a) let us link up on the network (maybe a simple wireless router would work for this?)
b) let the laptops all work from the same file while not working from the cloud file - so does Mission Manager/Radishworks have anything in their "skunkworks" section that they would be able to say have the Mission as a file we could host on a local file server or NAS? 

That way we could all fire up our laptops, specify somewhere in the offline Mission Manager that our mission file is in fact at location X, letting the check-in laptop update the file so that the team they make for us (say "Search Team 1") can then be shown on the logs and communication log, etc.?

When we print out our team assignment form, the "specialty" section is running over into the next person below them, making the field unreadable.

Is there a way we could leave that off when printing?  It's choosing everything we have in the Certificaitons and Expirations and trying to squeeze it all in that one field.

While going over Mission Manager with my Staging officers, they brought up a good question.

We have specific fields set to "show only" that we use to help filter volunteers...allowing Staging to build more effective teams.  An example: We have a medical field we use to identify if the volunteer has a higher level of medical training - those members would be first in line when we make our Medical team.  Additionally, an ideal search team would include at least one volunteer with a higher level of medical training.

When we have guest members (convergent volunteers that we won't have in our system but who could easily possess that higher level of training), we can't go in and set that field when we make that new temporary member at check-in.

The complete member screen is present when you click the "create guest member" button, but it's all locked down.  Can that "create" screen be unlocked to allow the Staging officer to fill in specific fields that we later use as "show only" - allowing us to check in say a MD or nurse as a volunteer?  That way we could identify that guest member when we create our teams and put the right skills at the right place.

Can someone check our detailed change log?  On 10/23/2013 I added some values to a member record.  They notified me today it wasn't changed.

I went back and and sure enough, the data wasn't there.  I added it again, then decided to check the detailed change logs.  I see the changes I made today for the member, then nothing until the adds I did back on 10/23 (see below):

Feature Requests and Issues / "Show Only" in the Member page

Is there any way you can add the fields that have "show only" checked in the fields in the "member certification levels" as a "show only" filter on the members page?

An example of use - I have a "Medical Level" certification level with "show only filter" checked.  Any way that could be added to the member search page to quickly find those members?

We have unlimited storage on our hosting account for on line file storage.  We are working on a project where we will scan all of our member records to get them available on line - that way we don't have to drive to our central office to check on a training record, we can pull it up on our computer where we are at the time.

Is it possible to get a field that would appear as a link on the member record (maybe as a button)?  That way when we load a member we can link directly to the folder from the file to let management view the actual scan of a certification, etc.

Yesterday at an event I was singing the praises of MM to some local agencies (Drowning Accident Rescue Team, etc.)...I'll be sending them a link later today to start exploring the system and making one of their member's a "guest user" so they can see the system from the user perspective.

One thing we discussed was how to handle 'convergent volunteers' or how to stage members from agencies that we don't have data on.

So the example would be, it's our incident and we request members from neighboring agencies to assist.  When they show up, we doubt they'll have a .csv file ready to import into MM that we could use to help us set up teams.  Having each person build a new record would slow staging down to a crawl.  Our thought was what if we could spread the word to regional teams and integrate a QR code onto their IDs that had their qualifications (medical, etc.).  When they arrived, we could scan that QR code and have it build a new record with the basic info (name, contact info, basic qualifications, etc.)...that would in turn let us use the "Show Only Filter" feature when building teams.

The problem we are trying to fix is that without good training/member info, we often end up building teams that aren't qualified to do the job simply for lack of time.  Two examples: A team assigned to set up the medical receiving area should be comprised of EMRs or higher, preferably the entire team - in recent drills, not one EMR was part of that set up team meaning we had to set it up, then pull teams back from the field and reassign to get EMRs at the treatment area.  Another example: A team was sent to me for assignment (I needed a transport team)...when they arrived they told me to a person that they had physical limitations on lifting heavy items.

Had there been a rapid way to get their qualifications (and limitations) at staging, MM would have been able to filter out the "Physically Unable to Perform" members (that could have been assigned as scribes, etc.) and let us build teams that had appropriately trained members.

I understand this would be something that regional teams would all need to go in on together (to get the same field name/orders for the QR codes)...but something to think about.

I know when you are checking in members you can search by member number, but when you are looking through the member records, that isn't a field it searches against.

Can that be added to the search?  It doesn't need to display on the results (that might make the results come back a bit cramped), but it would be nice to be able to search on that field.

Feature Requests and Issues / URLs to images for Equipment, etc.

I'm wondering if adding a url link to images would work for things like equipment, etc.

Instead of taking up all that storage space on MM servers, would an option to use a URL instead of an actual .jpg and then display that image in the MM Equipment window be easy to do?

An example...we have 40 Icom radios of one type, another 40 or so of another type.  If I could URL to a stock image of one, I wouldn't have 80 images to store on MM servers and subsequently get downloaded when I ask for an export.

How can we get more space to store documents?

Just curious...if space is an issue, can there be integration with existing services (i.e. DropBox)?  That would save a TON of space on MM's servers but still let people put a decent amount of stuff.

We have a HUGE team...the org chart continually shows EVERYONE, making it a good 4-5 pages wide.

Can the Org Chart functions be limited to just certain 'ranks' and above?  I see the option in the configuration, but the actual charts show everyone.

The search bar at the bottom of the member tab...returns the members you are searching for, but for me at least only let's me send emails via the email address link.

Would be more useful if the name of the returned members could take you to the member record.  Is that possible to add to the code?

When you open an offline mission after syncing and search for a last name, only the first person shows.   First name search doesn't appear to work at all.
