Anyone running non-Windows
« on: February 03, 2012, 04:22:23 PM »
Is anyone running Mission Manager using something other than a Windows variant?  I have the opportunity to pick up some Toughbooks that have been reformatted and now have no Operating System.  Rather that pay Microsoft, I would rather load a free OS, provided it will work.  I was looking at Linux Ubuntu, and it looks like it will fit the bill.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I know there are a lot of Mac, iPad and Android users.  Don't know about Linux, but since MM is Web based it should work with a good browser.

Cool!  I'll let you know how it turns out.  Now I just need to get the County Property Transfer Request signed!

I'll test it on Ubuntu 11.10 this evening and let you know.  I've accessed basic portions of it, but haven't done it offline or anything, but I'll give it a try.

A quick run through linux with Firefox as the browser trying online and offline worked exactly as expected and just like running in windows.

I've been using Linux exclusively (Ubuntu 10.04) and haven't had any problems with either Firefox 3.6, Firefox 9 or Chrome.
