using forward Prefix
« on: September 15, 2012, 04:32:09 PM »
We're brand new to MM - just added a few members so far and trying out messaging, with the intention of using it to start out call outs.

All going well except ran into this snag:

I setup a forward prefix for email, and it works.
I setup a different forward prefix for phone, and it works.

However, if I use the SAME forward prefix for both email and phone, the email message works, but the phone message never comes through.

In this case I am sending the original message to the prefix using regular email.

I'd like to be able to send a message to all members, using all devices, by sending a text from my cell phone.
Ideas?

Thanks,

Greg

Welcome to Mission Manager.

Yes, each prefix needs to be different.  If you want to sen to all devices, just send a single email to all prefixes, phone, text and email.  You should be able to set up a group in you email program.

The same thing works for most cell phones.  Just send a text message to the 3 email addresses with commas in between.
