Units - more than one?

Hello - is it possible to set up multiple Units for a member?

I have a need to group folks in more than just one way ... for example I have a member that belongs to the Unit "CSD" but they are also part of another Unit "NRP Reserve Officer" .

So I want this person to show up when I group by either the "CSD" Unit or the "NRP Reserve Officer" Unit.

Can it be done?  And if so, How?!!

is it possible to set up multiple Units for a member?

Yes, several teams have done this.  The trick is to remove the default "Units" tracking in MM by blanking out the Configuration > Team Settings > Units field.  Then add all your different units as Configuration > Member Fields > check boxes (Equipment or Certifications).  With your units as check boxes one member can be part of as many units as you like.
