Just some more ideas, would it be possible to add the following events under the event log as a "Personnel Change:"?;
1) When a member checks in or out
2) When a member is assigned or unassigned to a team

Radishworks:
Check out the "Personnel Status Report" on the Reports screen, this has is a very detailed report of all the member information you describe.  The event log is designed to be overall ICS type records.
