Photo on roster - is there an option to select/not select this like other items on the report?  We currently don't use the photo.

Thx for all the new stuff.

Yes, there should be a
  • Photo check box, just like the other items on the report.

I really like the equipment screen. Any chance of an import feature?

Love the new APRS Callsign field by Member.  I just just have a question and request. First the Question.  When you double click on the APRS icon of a member on the map, it lists the Call Sign, then this string " [:Command1 v_0.9.537/ ", And then the Name of the Member, and then the coordinates.  What is the string containing " [:Command1 v_0.9.537 "?  .  Can that be eliminated if it serves no purpose (none that I am aware of anyway).? Then the request, Can you show somewhere in the popup
the Date and time of the last APRS packet received by APRS.FI since they provide the field.  That would be more useful.

Also, for the future, a slightly more complicated request. IF you can track the date and time of the last beacon, you could set a configuration parameter which allows the software to change the color of the APRS icon on the map and maybe open an alert window when a tracked radio has not been heard of for some user defined threshold time period.  For safety check ins this would be a valuable help.  IF not an alarm window, at least a view window which would somehow show tracked ids which have not been heard from in some threshold time. Maybe a simple list which sorts the expired ones to the top and changes the color to red or something.  There are lots of options for this.  Maybe better yet, it could be displayed on the Radio Log Page so that the radio operator can be alerted to try to contact the overdue field assets. Come to think of it, it might be great if all Call signs which trip the threshold time can only be cleared by entering a radio log entry, or a new update from APRS.FI.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Oh yes, one more thing on APRS.  You really need to support the SSID tag on the end of the call sign.  APRS.FI supplies this. We use Handheld APRS Tracker units for members who don't have radios capable of APRS. These are encoded with the Team Club call sign and the SSID string.  We have 15 of them. Thus we have for example KJ4KLM-1 through KJ4KLM-15.  As best as I can tell your system only tracks up to the hyphen and truncates the SSID number.  That is very restrictive and results in 15 icons showing the map with the same ICON Label.  Can you fix this easily?

There are no restrictions in MM for this, the whole string (including the SSID) is queried from aprs.fi.  I just tested with a couple live callsigns I found on aprs.fi (WD6DRI-9,WD6DRI-1) and each one shows up in the same separate locations just as they do on aprs.fi.  Could there be something else going on here, and the problem is something outside of MM?  You may need to provide some specific callsigns so we can look into this more.

This is the comment string that is returned from aprs.  The popup has been reformatted to make it a little clearer.

Possible for sure.  But this will have to go on the wish list.  I can see a more general feature that would track the last time all teams had been heard from, regardless of APRS or not.

Thanks for the post.
