Error on Member Log in setup

I am getting an error when I attempt to setup up a member with limited login access.  It says the following:

Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() [function.mysql-real-escape-string]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/content/72/3872372/html/SearchManager/MembersLoginsPost.php on line 10
