I've found some limits of the Export Areas button's compatibility. The software that drives my GPS (Delorme Topo USA) does not recognize the <trk> type objects in .gpx files. I've had some luck with using GPSBabel to do a transform to <rte>, but none of the methods I've come up with keep the individual areas segregated. I have just ended up with all the areas connected. I think I can find a solution for my device, but there are lots of devices out there.
Does anyone have experience with Garmin or Magellan devices and .gpx files? Do they all play well with <trk> objects? How about <rte>?
