Org Chart in Missions
« on: November 19, 2013, 03:01:24 PM »
First, Let me say this is a great program!!! I recently was at a CERT exercise as an observer and the big lesson learned was accountability. That is when I searched for and found MM. On the downside, MM is very addictive as I have spent many hours exploring the possibilities - Do you have a MM Anonymous Group yet?  :D

I'm having quite the issue with the Org Charts for missions. Could there be a drop-down in the Team Creation Page within missions that is labeled "Reports To:" and the drop-down populates with teams created prior on the mission? And then this information creates an Org Chart? We don't have "pre-assigned" members to teams. Each member is trained in all areas so pre-populating the assignments won't work.

Thanks for creating & supporting MM.

Not sure I understand the question.  Org Charts are not available inside of a mission, org charts show team org when not in a mission.  Poke around this forum, there are many topics on org charts.

MM is designed so that team assignments are built at mission time, not beforehand.  Maybe I mis-understand the question?

I guess I'm asking for a way to create an org chart in the missions field. The Command & General Staff is built into the mission in the config area and I'm OK with that. But now I add a level "SAR" that reports to Operations. The "SAR" level adds two teams; SAR1 & SAR2 that reports to SAR, I would like to see that on an Org Chart so I can visually see where my teams are in the organization.

You message shows the complexity of automatic org charts, every team has a different twist on how org charts are constructed.  MM lets you manage all your teams, command staff, ICS positions, etc. for a mission, but creating mission org charts is a wish list item.

Thank you for putting it on a wish list. Again this is a great program and I hope to utilize it for a long time.
