Message Responses - Email in two teams
« on: November 21, 2013, 09:05:09 AM »
Hello - now that we have the ability to use one email and be listed in more than one team (thank you!) what happens if we send a Response to yes.xxxx@radishworks.com or no.xxxx@radishworks.com etc ...?

Will the response be able to be seen in both team Message Response areas?

I'm assuming the xxxx is random and does not direct the emails to a specific team - but are directed based on the fact that the email it is being sent from is found within MM.

Not a problem for the Responses to show up in both - just want to know what to expect.

Thanks - gayle

No, they will not show up in both teams.  "xxxx" isn't random it is specific to each team.  This is how MM knows what team you are responding to.

If a single person with the same email in two teams wanted to send a response to two teams, they would need to send their responding email to tow separate addresses, i.e. yes.abc@radishworks.com and yes.xyz@radishworks.com.

Where is the xxxx found in the team Configuration?

I don't think the one that I used yesterday is found anywhere in ours.  (I used msttf)

Thanks - gayle

Oh  my goodness I am so stupid!!  I thought it also had to be referenced somewhere else!  Duh!

What would happen if I set the Prefix the same in the Second Team's prefix configuration?  Would the email then go to both?

I will only go to the first team found.  Team ids (xxxx) should be different for teams where one person with the same email is in them both.
