New support for multiple K9s and Horses per member
« on: July 02, 2011, 07:38:26 PM »
The Members screen now contains a new section for Animals this section allows you to specify any number of horses or canines for that member.  Use the "Add new Member Animal" button to add animals.  The fields specified for each animal type represent different types of animals certifications dates, such as Trailing, Area, HR, Night Operations, etc.  Each of these certification date fields can be customized in the Configuration screen.  Member access to change the fields (or add/edit animals) can be controlled with the new, Add and Edit Member Animals setting for a members login level access.  To edit certification dates the member must have Certifications and Expirations or full system access.

If you have been using the Configuration Certification Expiration Dates ?? fields to track a members animal partner dates, you can now blank out these fields or use these date fields for something else.

If you are using the Configuration Equipment ?? fields for such things as "K9 Trailing", "K9 Urban Trailing", etc. (the MM default) you may want to continue to use these.  The purpose of the Equipment section is to identify what items the Member has with them for the current Mission.  So for example, a member may have a certified HR K9, but may not have that K9 with them on a the current mission - in this case, they would un-check "HR K9" in the equipment section when they check in.

Any animal partners and their status will appear in Member Status emails as well as Certification Status reports.

Happy 4th of July!
